These Were Their Choices
This week in Eurovision: going mostly north with Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, and Sweden.
Estonia didn't only have one male-female duo. "This is Our Choice" by Triin Niitoja & John4 is more upbeat than the winning song.
Finland's third semifinal featured 80's throwback "Kyynelten lahti" by Aikuinen.
Hungary had their second semifinal. "World of Violence" by Bogi Dallos is surprisingly catchy for a peace and social message type of song.
In Latvia's final, "Nefelibata" by Mintha was a very chilled out song. Probably wouldn't be good for the big stage but it's calming to listen to.
Sweden's third semifinal featured "Insomnia" by Ellen Benediktson, which has understated verses and is far from an "Euphoria" ripoff that some people think.
Next week: semifinals in Moldova and Sweden, and finals in Finland, Hungary, and Slovenia.
